With the recent publicity on formaldehyde emissions from Laminate flooring generated by the very negative report aired last Sunday night on “60 minutes” which focused on products made in China that contained elevated levels of formaldehyde and failed to meet the minimum CARB standards to be legally sold in the state of California, I am obligated to assure you that All products which we currently market or plan to introduce are CARB compliant.
For over 30 years, Solana Flooring has always focused on bringing “High Quality” as opposed to “The Lowest Priced” products to our showroom while educating our clients on the high value attributes of our products. This includes adhering to the minimum emission standards of CA. and educating our sales team about those minimum standards.
We require all supplier partners to provide documentation of compliance before we agree to sell their product. To that extent, beyond this letter of assurance, if you wish to have additional information or specific product documentation you may request this from your sales rep.

The purpose of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) • Starting January 1, 2009, California began regulating the formaldehyde emissions from composite wood products (particle board, MDF, HDF & hardwood plywood) sold in this state to make finished goods.
